Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin “want to start a family for sure”.

The former ‘N Sync star wed the painter in a televised ceremony for the E! Network on December 20. And while they are still in the fledgling stages of their married life, the couple are already thinking about their future.

“We're going to enjoy the honeymoon phase for a second, but we want to start a family for sure," Lance revealed to E! News. "That's one of the reasons we wanted to commit to each other, to start a family.”

The 35-year-old is keen for them to have their own children initially. But he added that expanding their family by other means at a later stage isn’t out of the question.

“It will be nice to have our own kids first," he added. "And then maybe when they're a little older, adopt a kid that's around eight or nine. We love the whole adoption thing—with dogs or humans too."

The newlyweds have been taking in foster dogs for years while they await a proper owner to be found. And the way they care and nurture the animals definitely signals that they will make great parents one day.

“I cry like every time [the dogs leave]," Michael added. "I love doing it but then I hate it."

Lance and his husband aren’t the only ones who would be excited about expanding their family unit. Both sets of parents would love to have some new additions to the already tightly bonded clan.

“Our families love each other as opposite as they are, they absolutely love each other," Lance continued. "We got a test of that when we went to New York like three years ago and our moms met and they were just best friends immediately. It's great. I have great in-laws. Thank God!"
