Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have performed their number one duet together again for the first time since the 80s.

Kylie and Jason sang ‘Especially For You’ at the O2 Arena for the Hit Factory Live concert.

The two popstars were introduced by songwriter Pete Waterman of Stock, Aitken and Waterman fame who said, “Twenty-five years ago I had a dream … that we would still be singing songs 25 years later. And one song in particular. Ladies and gentlemen, Jason and Kylie.”

Jason sang his other hits ‘Too Many Broken Hearts’ and ‘Nothing Can Divide Us’ as well in the show and then Kylie joined him for this joint hit.

The pair were originally meant to perform the song together in London in July but it didn’t happen.

‘Especially For You’ was released in 1988. It reached number one in the UK and number two in Australia. The song was written by Stock, Aitken and Waterman and was included on Kylie Minogue’s album ‘Enjoy Yourself’ and Jason Donovan’s ‘Ten Good Reasons’, both released in 1989.
