Keith Urban thinks his marriage would be like a game of Jenga if it wasn’t his “priority”.

The singer has been married to actress Nicole Kidman since June 2006 and together they have two daughters. Despite his successful career in the music business as well as his judging role on American Idol, the 47-year-old always puts his family first.

“Someone said one time, 'If your marriage isn't your priority, you're not married,' and I thought, for me that's so true,” he explained during a Q&A session at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee. “So as long as I keep her as a priority, everything else sort of seems to work. And when I don't keep it as a priority, it's ... Jenga.”

The couple manage to keep their love flourishing despite often working in different cities on their respective careers. But ever the gentleman, Keith lays the credit at his spouse’s door.

“I have a lot of people who help me ... starting with my wife, who is extraordinary at keeping everything sort of scheduled and balanced," he explained.

For the Sweet Thing singer believes always being present is the key to enjoying life. He tries his best to appreciate every moment as he knows that his privileges could disappear as quickly as they came.

“The moment right now is a gift, and that's why they call it the present. But it's so true ... The only thing that's real is right now,” he said, before using his recent trip to the Academy Awards with his wife as an example. “We walked in and I said to Nic, 'Are these our seats?' And she said, 'Yeah, I think we're sitting right here.' I'm like, Yeah! It's all fleeting – those moments where people like us get to sit on the front row. You don't sit on the front row your whole career. You start back there. So I don't want to miss it while I'm on the front row, because it doesn't last that long."
