Katy Perry’s rumoured beau has seemingly confirmed their romance.
The American singer has recently been linked to Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, but it was thought the romance had fizzled out. She was recently spotted with the musician in London, UK, and he appears to have admitted they are together.
“She’s the real deal. She loves London, so I’m just showing her the sights…” he told UK magazine Heat.
He initially didn’t reply when the publication asked if he is Katy’s boyfriend, although he was drawn when they inquired if the romance is just based on sex.
“No, no, it’s not like that. Um, more like the other one,” he said.
It’s been suggested Katy wanted to look like she was having the “time of her life” while in London performing recently.
Katy reportedly went out with Robert as she knew her estranged husband Russell Brand was coming to London to promote his movie Rock of Ages.
“Of course Katy had thought it through. Everyone wants to look like they’re having the time of their life when their ex is watching,” an insider told the magazine.
Katy is apparently happy to have fun with Robert but isn’t looking for a serious romance. The star is still dealing with the end of her 14-month marriage.
“They get on well, but it’s hard for Katy to have a normal relationship,” the insider said. “She’s never in one place for long… Katy hasn’t got much time for a serious boyfriend right now.”
