Katy Perry thinks Lenny Kravitz is the “King of cool”.

The 30-year-old pop star is set to perform at the famed half-time show at this year’s NFL Super Bowl in three weeks’ time.

And as she announced that the rock star will join her on stage, she made her sentiments about his legacy all too clear.

"He's got so much style. He's the coolest. He's the King of cool," Katy told NBC’s Willie Geist. "He's going to make me so much cooler that day."

This glowing review came after the Roar songstress told the world that the American Woman hitmaker would be her “first guest” on stage. This seems to allude that Katy is planning on bringing other musical superstars up to perform with her.
"My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock n roll icon, a guitar god," she declared. "I'm going to have Lenny Kravitz on the show!"

The half-time show has historically been played out by some of the world’s biggest names in music. In 2013, Beyoncé and her Destiny’s Child teammates gave a stunning performance, which was followed up by Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2014.

Katy has a pair of hard acts to follow, but she told her Twitter followers she’s preparing for the task.

“And I’ve already started testing out ideas!” she wrote on the social networking platform.

Lenny is a staple of American rock culture, which he has been a part of since the late 1970’s. From 1999 to 2002, he took home the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance four years in a row, setting a record at that time.
