The Rolling Stones 50 and Counting tour moved down Route 66 to Las Vegas this weekend and Katy Perry was the honky tonk woman Mick Jagger emotionally rescued for the ride.

Katy Perry joined the Rolling Stones at the Stones Vegas show at the MGM to strut the 'Some Girls' classic 'Beast of Burden' with Jagger.

The Stones are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2013 because Keith Richards says the starting gun was fired when Charlie Watts joined the band. Watts joined the Stones in January, 1963 although the original Stones featuring Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Dick Taylor and Ian Stewart played their first gig as the Rollin' Stones in July, 1962.

The Vegas show was the forth Stones show on the current leg of the 50 and Counting tour. Guests so far have been Gwen Stefani, Keith Urban, Tom Waits, John Fogerty and Bonnie Raitt.

The next Stones shows will be May 15 and 18 in Anaheim.
