Kasey Chambers on two month surgery break

Weeks after finishing her three-month national tour Kasey Chambers has had to give herself a two-month break following surgery.

Australia’s country queen has confirmed that this week she underwent an operation to remove nodules and a cyst.

She told fans on Facebook:

“Surgery-done.
Finally had those pesky nodules & a cyst removed from my vocal chords!
All went well & I’ll be back singing in 8 weeks…..but NO TALKING FOR at least 2 WEEKS…..OH MY!!!!!!
That ain’t gonna be easy for me….(my family & friends are pretty darn happy about it tho…)”

Kasey was forced to postpone the start of her ‘Bittersweet’ Australian tour last October when the nodules were discovered. She resumed the tour in February and concluded two weeks ago in Newcastle.
