Justin Timberlake feels awful when he “inhales” the smell of hospitals – even if he isn’t in one.

The American singer-and-actor has discussed the aromas he finds hard to bear. Top of his list is the mixture of cleaning fluid, old food and body odour which is unique to medical centres.

It turns Justin’s stomach as soon as it hits his nostrils.

“I… don't like the smell of hospitals. They have a very particular smell. I already feel bad when I just inhale it, even though I haven't set foot into the building yet,” he told the German edition of InStyle magazine.

The 31-year-old feels equally as uncomfortable when he has to visit a dental professional. Justin can’t abide the antiseptic smell most surgeries have, but says that only masks the real issue he has.

“Dental surgeries are pretty scary, too. But the noises you hear there are even worse than the smells,” he laughed.

The star has one final scent which bothers his nose. Although Justin loves caring for his pet pooches, on occasion they don’t smell too fragrant.

“When my two boxers have been out in the rain, they smell really bad,” he admitted.
