Justin Bieber has thanked Will Smith for defending his behavior.

Justin's actions have sent the celebrity rumor mill into overdrive this week. Following an accusation that the Canadian popstar had thrown a temper tantrum on the set of a Danish fragrance shoot, reports emerged that Swedish police had raided the singer's tour bus looking for drugs. Will has since defended the young star in an interview.

Voicing his thanks to the actor and his son Jaden, who is one of Justin's friends, Justin tweeted: "Will Smith is the man! @officialjaden u r cool too (sic)."

When pressed to comment about Justin in a radio interview yesterday, Will hit out at the singer's lack of privacy. Will divulged that he used to get up to similar things as Justin when he was the same age but there was no Twitter to capture everything that was happening.

"There are things that are just simple and normal for a 19 year old to do, just when I was 19 there was no Twitter, the things that I was doing – I was able to have privacy because everybody's phone didn't have a camera on it," he told Britain's Capital FM.

Jaden has also come to Justin's defence. Recent reports indicated that Jaden had "ruined" Justin's 19th birthday, but Jaden now says he wasn't even at the party.

"The funny thing is, I could have gone, and I didn't feel like it - that's not my vibe," Jaden told the May issue of Nylon magazine.

Yesterday, a spokesperson for Swedish police confirmed a "small amount" of marijuana had been found on Justin's tour bus. The drugs have reportedly been sent for analysis. Justin also took to Twitter to play down the scandal.

"Some of the rumors about me...where do people even get this stuff. whatever...back to the music," he wrote.
