Juliette Lewis contemplates career switch
Juliette Lewis is re-thinking her Hollywood career as she inches closer to her 40th birthday.
The 39-year-old actress became a household name following her Oscar-nominated supporting role in 1991 thriller Cape Fear.
Her career only flourished from there as Juliette scored coveted parts in hits including Natural Born Killers and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. She has also enjoyed success as a musician after launching her alternative rock band Juliette and the Licks in 2009.
But Juliette seems eager to give it all up for a more modest life before she hits the landmark year on June 21.
The star tweeted on Thursday about her latest ambition, confessing she was intrigued to pursue travel writing.
'How do I get the job of going to exotic locations and 'reporting' about the local food and drink scene? How do I get THAT job. #Jamaica,' she tweeted her 239,000 followers.
Juliette has spoken in the past about her appreciation for the way acting allows her to transform. She finds gaining insight into other people's lives invigorating, and seems to want to apply those skills as a reporter.
'There's no circumstance I feel that I wouldn't be able to live through and find the joy in,' the actress told ET Online last year.
'I like to bring the craft to anything I play and the fact I don't know what's going to happen next, is interesting. It makes acting challenging again in a whole new way.'
Juliette isn't short on work. The actress recently wrapped filming her new movie, John Wells' August: Osage County, with Meryl Streep, Abigail Breslin and Ewan McGregor.
The comedic drama is scheduled for release later this year.
