Joe Jonas would consider starring on Broadway with another famous face.

The 22-year-old musician has taken a break from performing with Jonas Brothers to pursue his own projects. Joe is currently promoting his solo album Fastlife and is enjoying the experience.

He has revealed he would also appear in a theatre production if the right role came along.

“Absolutely,” he told UK TV show Daybreak when asked if he would consider theatre work. “I did it years ago, I was on Broadway doing La bohème – it was an opera so it was very interesting. I always promised myself I wouldn’t do opera and I would never do Broadway, but I ended up doing it.

“I could see myself going back if the right role was there, maybe go with another actor or musician.”

Joe is thrilled to have the opportunity to work alone.

He didn’t grow up dreaming of being in a group, but is happy with how his career turned out.

“I never really planned to be in a band. When we first started it all just kind of fell together, we were in this group and then we were selling records and travelling all over the world,” he explained. “Now I am doing a solo project, so I just go with the flow.”

Joe admits he was initially worried about how his fans would react to his solo plans. However, he is pleased with the reception to Fastlife and insists he will soon be reuniting with his bandmate brothers Nick and Kevin.

“I was interested to see how the fans would react to me as a solo artist. I was a bit nervous at first and I wanted it to be communicated that the band is still together, we are just taking a little break. They have been very supportive, they love the new stuff,” he added. “I will be doing some more music with my brothers probably at the end of this year, probably next year – it all depends how things roll out with this project.”
