Jimmy Buffett gets $197 million casino go ahead

Singer/Songwriter and businessman Jimmy Buffett has been given the go-ahead to build a $197 million casino in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Construction of the Margaritaville Resort Casino will start immediately and finish in June 2013.

The 18-story building will include 396 rooms, a 900-seat venue, 1300 slot machines and 46 table games.

A feature will be Buffett’s famous ‘It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere’ bar.

The Margaritaville Resort Casino will be the third and largest Margaritaville-themed casino for Buffett. He also has one venue already open in Las Vegas and another soon to open in Biloxi, Mississippi.
