Jessie J won't "tolerate" racism.
The British singer is known for being outspoken and often shares her views on life on Twitter. It seems a recent conversation between some of her followers on the social networking site hit the wrong nerve with the 26-year-old.
"Now you can have a LONG conversation about being blocked that I won't see. Because the LONG racist conversation that I did see on my TL [timeline] is a NO THANKS enjoy your ignorant lonely life. #IwillNOTtolerateracismonmyTL (sic)," she tweeted in response.
The star has been facing criticism recently after announcing her bisexuality was a "phase" and that she's exclusively interested in men. Critics slammed it a PR stunt, which the singer has dismissed.
She also had to deal with her second album Alive proving far less popular than her debut Who You Are, which spawned hits such as Price Tag and Domino.
Jessie is working on some new music and shrugged off the idea that she would take criticism personally.
“I’m very aware of how Alive sold, which is why right now I’m working on new music to be put out ASAP,” she told British newspaper The Sun.
“I’m a businesswoman as well as an artist and I’m aware Alive didn’t do as well as Who You Are, but that doesn’t mean I’m a flop.
“It doesn’t mean I’m not talented. It just means I have to re-evaluate what’s going on in my life and what I can improve. It’s funny that people tell me like I wouldn’t see it.”
