Jessica Simpson thinks her unborn child is a girl.
Jessica is currently expecting her first baby with fiancée professional American football player Eric Johnson.
The 31-year-old singer and fashionista is hoping that her baby will be female.
"I think it's a girl," Jessica told People magazine at the New York City launch of a clothing line that she and sister Ashlee Simpson created.
"But I don't know yet."
Eric, who was also in attendance at the event, disagrees with his fiancée’s assumption.
"I think it's a boy," Eric said. "We're pretty much at a standstill there."
Jessica and Eric do not have the willpower to wait patiently until the baby is born to know its true gender. The couple must know as soon as possible.
"I don't think we can wait," Eric explained.
"Jessica is too honest about everything, she needs to know. I don't think she can hold that secret to herself."
No matter what the baby’s sex will be ultimately, Jessica will dress the child according to her tastes.
"If it's a boy, I'll put him in tutus!" she quipped.
The Jessica Simpson Girls collection which includes denim, knits, hoodies and graphic t-shirts was launched this week.
