Jay Z reportedly doesn't have the same "fighting spirit" as Beyoncé Knowles when it comes to their marriage.
The couple put on a strong front during their joint On The Run Tour, which ended earlier this month, amid reports their relationship is on the rocks. Jay has been the target of many infidelity claims, but the pair set the rumour mill into overdrive after he changed the lyrics during one of their recent performances to 'cause she pregnant with another one'.
Neither have addressed the speculation Beyoncé is expecting their second child, but it seems the rapper isn't as determined to keep their marriage going as his wife.
"Throughout everything, Beyoncé has been the one fighting and while she has often been close to walking away she's been determined to stick at her marriage and do whatever it takes to avoid a divorce," a source told British magazine Closer. "Jay has been fairly placid about his feelings. He's not got the same fighting spirit as Beyoncé and has said he isn't going to live a life of misery and, if it doesn't work, it doesn't work."
They already have daughter Blue Ivy together, who joined them on the road during their travels. Things reportedly took a turn for the worse with their nuptials after Beyoncé's sister Solange was caught on CCTV attacking her brother-in-law in an elevator following the Met Gala in May. It was never confirmed why she lashed out, however Beyoncé is said to be worried about welcoming a new addition into an unsteady environment.
"Beyoncé is nervous about having another baby when she's still unsure if their marriage is going to last. Things are by no means back to how they were and there are still a huge amount of trust issues," the insider added.
