Jada Pinkett Smith has indulged in a “gushy mommie moment”.

The 43-year-old actress shares two children with husband Will Smith, 13-year-old Willow and 16-year-old Jaden, both of whom have followed in their parents footsteps by delving into music and acting.

Jada is also step-mother to Will’s 21-year-old son Trey from a previous marriage.

And the proud mum couldn’t help herself from sharing a moment with her family on Facebook that filled her with delight.
“Can I have a gushy mommie moment?” she wrote.

“Willow and Jaden had a performance together in NYC last night. I love watching my kids create, but mostly...I love watching them create together. And when Trey gets in the mix...I'm in heaven:),” Jada added, wishing readers a “Happy Saturday”.

The Gotham star has been open about her approach to parenting in the past, sometimes getting her into hot water for taking a more relaxed approach.

But Jada insisted last month she trusts her kids completely.

“I think we have to have more trust in our children,” she told Health magazine, “People have always gotten on us about not punishing the kids, and let me just talk to you about that for a minute.

“We raised three kids before Willow and Jaden, and especially on my goddaughter, I put so many boundaries on her—‘No, you can’t do that, you can’t do this.’ And everything I tried to control, every freakin’ thing I was trying to avoid, happened.

“I learned a lot from that experience and realised that while Willow and Jaden are still with me and have a safety net, I want to give them the opportunity to make mistakes and learn how to put boundaries on themselves. So by the time they’re out of the house, they fly,” she said.
