Jennifer Lopez insists she “needs to be alone” in the wake of her split from Casper Smart.
The pop star recently confirmed her split from her dancer/choreographer beau of more than two years, only to become the subject of incessant rumours about who she's now dating.
But JLo insists she has her sights set on no man. To the contrary, she’s determined stay single for the foreseeable future.
Scoffing at rumours she’s already moved on, the star told Extra: “Give me a break, just give me some time, I need to be alone for a little bit.”
Jennifer, who was last linked to Dancing with the Stars hunk Maksim Chmerkovskiy, meanwhile insists she’s focused on her family first, followed by her work.
“The kids come first, sleep comes second, and everything else kind of falls in line after that,” said the singer, who is mother to Max and Emme, her twin son and daughter with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
JLo is also promoting her new album, A.K.A., which recently topped the R&B/Hip-Hop album charts.
The star, a native New Yorker, told the outlet she’s thankful her fans in the city still feel connected to her music and are showing their support.
“It’s awesome, to be embraced by kind of like your roots… I consider myself to have hip hop roots growing up in the Bronx, to be embraced by that audience you know for me feels good in my heart, feels good in my soul,” she said.
