Jennifer Lopez “didn’t freeze” when she and Leah Remini were in a car accident with their kids.

The two friends were rear-ended by a driver while they were on their way to a Demi Lovato concert on Saturday. The On the 6 performer’s six-year-old twins Max and Emme as well as Leah’s ten-year-old daughter were in the vehicle at the time.

“I was super scared that something happened to the kids,” Jennifer told Extra. “They say in situations like that you fight, flight, freeze. I didn’t freeze, I fought, and I didn’t leave, I fought. I was like, ‘They were kids in the car! There were three kids in the car, what’s wrong with you?’”

The accident occurred in Malibu, California. No one in the vehicle was injured.

“Everybody’s fine, thank you for asking…just a little shook up. You know you get hit from behind like that, it felt l like a boulder fell on top of the car,” the Love Don’t Cost a Thing hitmaker told Extra.

The star went to Instragram to share a photo taken of herself with Leah in the car before the accident took place. Leah was in the driver’s seat.

“Sitting at a light, Riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip!!! Thank god everyone ok!!!

#GRATEFUL #THANKYOUGOD #DontdrinkandDrive!!!! #cursedthatfoolout #theBronxcameout #dontmesswithmycocnuts #mamabear #leahstayedcalm #thatwasweird,” JLo captioned the photo.

The American Idol judge apparently unleashed her Bronx side at the scene of the accident while her close friend Leah stayed calm.

“She did her Bronx thing and I was the calm one which should have... that should have been the headline,” Leah told Extra.
The driver who hit the star’s vehicle was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving under the influence, E! News reports.
