Jennifer Lopez is reportedly "pining for" her ex-boyfriend Casper Smart.
The 45-year-old star dated her backing dancer for two-and-a-half years before their split in June amid rumours he had been unfaithful with two transsexual models. Since then the pair have been spotted out together, most recently sitting near each other at the MTV VMAs last Sunday and sharing some Skittles sweets, and it's thought Jennifer is keen to reignite their flame.
Her six-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she has with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, are also said to miss their mother's former beau being around.
"Jen has been lonely for the past few weeks and the kids have also been pining for Casper. He's been seeing them on a weekly basis despite their split and Jen's told friends they can't keep away from each other," a source told British magazine Closer. "She's seeing if they can get things back on track - but she's warned him this is his last chance."
It's thought the star's close pals are worried about the step, especially as Jennifer was apparently deeply affected by the rumours about Casper's alleged cheating. But the musician is apparently keen to try things again just to see how they go.
"Jen knows her friends aren't impressed, but she's said the reunion is strictly on a trial basis," the insider added.
There were claims Jennifer struck up a romance with Dancing with the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy following her breakup from Casper. Maksim hinted there was something between them, but didn't divulge any more.
"With the Jennifer thing, look, we’re friends and… we’re friends. This is it. This is where it ends, pretty much," he previously told New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column.
