Iggy Azalea has warned fans about “bootleg” records on the internet.

The Australian rapper has had an amazing year, dominating the charts by collaborating with artists including Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora and Ariana Grande.

Her album The New Classic charted at number one in the US and UK and now Iggy has asked her Twitter followers to check twice before purchasing music that could be illegal.

“Hey guys, theres some vinyl records for sale online, namely onhttp://Amazone.com & i can confirm via my record label they are bootleg.” she tweeted.

“don't feel bad if you did buy one, its not your fault and people can be very tricky these days and i understand.

“however in the sentiment, if you were considering purchasing one, please do not. they are currently being removed from sale. xo.(sic)”

Despite her chart popularity, Iggy has been involved in several A-list disputes. Fellow rapper Nicki Minaj is rumoured to find her a threat, while Snoop Dogg caused outrage when he launched an attack at the star on social media.

This week Eminem became the centre of a scandal when supposed leaked lyrics referenced Iggy.

Apparently a track of his includes the verse: “So what’s it gon’ be? Put that sh*t away, Iggy. You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me. Scream! I love it. Before I get lost with gettin’ off.”

Luckily, Iggy is able to hold her own.

“im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. Zzzz,” she responded on Twitter.

“its especially akward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!

“women in music have the bigger b**ls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic. good morninnggggg!!!!!! off to camera block for AMAs! (sic)”
