Ira Losco has just released her new video accompanying the fourth single ‘ THE WAY IT’S MEANT TO BE’ from her number 1 album "The Fire."
Following the previous hit singles, ‘What I’d give’, ‘The Person I am’ and ‘Me Luv U long Time’ from this album, the brand new single ‘The Way It’s Meant to Be’ shows the versatility and strength in the singer's song writing skills bringing, yet again, another facet to her music.
A first for Ira Losco and probably for Malta, the song was chosen by her fans themselves. A competition run in collaboration with Coca Cola asked fans to choose their favourite single from 3 songs picked by Ira and her management. The final choice was the winter hit "The Way It's Meant To Be" The voting was free and was done through an app on the artist’s fan page.
“I was adamant that in this video I didn’t want to play any characters and/or give any twists to a scripted story or anything like that. I was after something simple and moody. I already have some ideas for the next one to be filmed very close to home “ said Ira
Set in a Manchester warehouse which is also British Band 'Elbow's' famous recording room, the video is all about Ira singing her song sitting at an upright piano, while two mysterious dancers dance over withered leaves under the falling snow. The video was directed by British music video company -Video ink.
Ira Losco has been nominated in 4 categories in this year’s Malta Music Awards. Best Album, Best Single, Best Music Video & Best Artist. It seems to be a very busy week for Ms Losco as she has also been given the task to co-host this year’s Eurovision Malta Song contest as well as perform some of her hits as a guest performer.
‘The Fire’ which was released nearly a year ago, kept a record no.1 position on the I tunes Album Malta charts for 11 consecutive weeks and since then has not left the Top 10 chart.
