Honeyfest 2012 Battle of the Bands competition is now open for entries! With Honeyfest 2012 tickets selling well, the Honeyfest bees have turned their attentions to the highly popular sister event, Battle of the Bands! They have already begun to rummage through the UK’s finest unsigned talent to uncover some exciting and refreshing new artists. The closing date for applications is 15th January for the 2012 competition finals to take place on Friday 3rd February at Bouverie Hall, Pewsey, Wiltshire, the birth place of Honeyfest.
The Battle of the Bands competition grew from the desire to support the local music scene and give surrounding, unsigned talent the chance to shine alongside some of the country’s top talent like BRIT award winner Laura Marling. As well as being a fantastic showcase of up-and-coming artists the Battle of the Bands acts as another way to bring the everyone together in this truly community spirited event, through people volunteering their time, skills and equipment to pull together for one almighty celebration of every musical genre!
