Hilary Duff’s estranged husband reportedly “blew it” with wild bachelor behaviour.
The 27-year-old singer-and-actress filed for divorce from Mike Comrie last month, over a year after the pair announced their separation.
It’s claimed they had a good chance of reconciling, until Hilary learned of the retired professional hockey player’s recent drunken night out.
"Hilary finally realised Mike wasn't going to change," an insider told Us Weekly magazine. "He totally blew it and chose to live life like he was single."
The spectacle in question reportedly took place at hip restaurant Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on February 20.
Apparently Mike had a little too much to drink at the hotspot and quickly began “aggressively hitting on” his waitress.
When his server denied Mike’s advances, the former athlete is said to have turned his attention on other females at the eatery. It’s claimed he got up the courage to approach another lady and when Mike got there he “drunkenly threw money at [the other woman] and asked for sex”.
Hilary married Mike in 2010 and they share two-year-old son Luca together.
She is said to be seeking primary physical custody of son Luca, who turns three years old on March 20.
“She wants Mike to have visitation, but sources connected with the couple say she's concerned that his partying and drinking could adversely affect their kid,” TMZ previously wrote.
TMZ also claimed Hilary is not seeking spousal support and would like both parties to keep the assets they acquired as single persons.
