Alternative hip-hop superstars, Gym Class Heroes, have announced the release of their new single, “The Fighter ft. Ryan Tedder” on 30 July.

Co-written by Ryan Tedder (Adele, Beyoncé, B.o.B), the Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and producer also lends his vocals on the inspiration new single while the video features footage of New York gymnast, John Orozco, as he trains for London’s 2012 Olympic games. Premiering last week, the video has already gained over 700,000 views on YouTube. Already creating a buzz stateside, the band performed a stripped down acoustic performance of “The Fighter” for Rolling Stone last week and the song was featured in the latest season finale of hit show, 90210.

Since the Top 3 smash “Stereo Hearts” featuring Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine blew up on our radio stations earlier in the year, the New York based five piece have released their long awaited third LP, The Papercut Chronicles II, their second single, “Ass Back Home” featuring UK singer/songwriter Neon Hitch, and have now been nominated for two Teen Choice Awards – Best Music Group and Best Single By A Group.
