Fresh from a rush of activity that has seen them play a surprise set at Reading, a triumphant intimate show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and the release of the album Green Day ¡Uno!, Green Day move on to the second stage of their album trilogy series with the November 12th release of Green Day ¡Dos!
The first single to be taken from the album will be ‘Stray Heart’ which will be released on the same day. ‘Stray Heart’ blends Green Day’s inimitable pop-punk style with elements of classic, upbeat rock ‘n’ roll.
The album series will be completed on January 14th 2013 when the Green Day ¡Tré! album is released (January 14th). The three albums are also available as an Ultimate Box Set which is currently available to pre-order.
Green Day ¡Uno! emerged to widespread critical acclaim as it debuted at #2. Kerrang! praised “the beating heart of a restless and constantly creative band”, while the Evening Standard stated: “This is Green Day back to basics – and back to their best.”
Green Day also recently confirmed details of their first London stadium date since their famous Wembley Stadium show in the summer of 2010. They will headline the Emirates Stadium on June 1st 2013. Buy tickets below.
The stage musical is currently touring the UK and Ireland, and will arrive in London in December for sixteen performances at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo
