Green Day new album will be about f***ing

Billie Joe Armstrong explained the forthcoming Green Day album simply by saying it will be "the first time we ever really sung about fucking".

Watch the video teaser for yourself below. It was posted on their official YouTube page today and suggests it will be "voyeuristic".

The punk rockers had only recently confirmed speculation that they were indeed in the studio laying down tracks for the '21st Century Breakdown' follow-up.

Bassist Mike Dirnt added that fans should watch out as it will "blow their fucking minds".

This their nineth studio effort will not be a concept album but likely to follow a more traditional route.

The Green Day musical will hit the UK in October 2012 with a feature film version being produced by Tom Hanks.
