The internet has created new ways for creative people to share their work. But the landscape is fragmented, complex and often unfriendly for users. At Clowdy, we want to change that by making it easier to upload music, videos and images - all through one platform.

Creative people aren’t limited in what they produce - for instance, a band might want to share their recorded tracks, some live videos and their album artwork with fans. It’s music, photos and films, available in one place.

Clowdy facilitates that while also giving artists the chance to make money from their content and link to their own sites.

We went live in August 2013 and have been growing ever since, adding more functionality and attracting a host of talented artists to use our service. Here’s the story so far.

Stuart Logan is the founder and chief executive officer. He’s from Salisbury, but moved to Manchester to study computer science and never moved away. The city’s supportive attitude towards DIY culture and its exciting music scene made it the perfect place for Clowdy to spring into existence.

Along with a team of talented developers, he’s created a multimedia platform that works across all mobile platforms as well as on desktop.

It’s been hard work but we feel that we can now offer a smooth user experience however you access the site, which is a big plus if you like to upload images or sound when you’re out and about.

We are motivated by an enthusiasm for sharing and the social web, as well as a love of music and films. We want to create a space where collaboration and sharing can happen between artists of all kinds.

The Clowdy community is growing as more users sign up - earlier in the year we even hosted some exclusive live sessions along with MoJo’s bar in Manchester, which you can check out here.

Whether you want to share your own work or discover somebody else’s, signing up is quick and easy, and the possibilities - like your creativity - are limitless. Give it a go today.
