Fresh from his performance at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony last month, George Michael kicks off his European and UK ‘Symphonica’ tour in Vienna tonight, Tuesday, September 4th 2012.

George has also added a new date in the city where he was hospitalised with a bout of pneumonia, forcing him to postpone the tour. George Michael will be donating 1,000 tickets for this September 4th date as a special thank you to the medical staff that saved his life.

After Vienna, George Michael takes his ‘Symphonica’ tour to Paris where on September 9th he will make history by becoming the first pop artist ever to perform at the Palais Garnier Opera House, playing a special charity Gala concert to raise money for the AIDS related charity ‘Sidaction’.

George then visits Brussels and Amsterdam before making a triumphant return to the UK to complete the tour. The UK ‘Symphonica’ dates include Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, London’s iconic ‘Royal Albert Hall’, Sheffield, Newcastle, Cardiff, Liverpool and 3 sell-out dates at Earl’s Court in London.
