Liam Gallagher reportedly attempted to instigate a fight with Idris Elba Wednesday night.

The Oasis musician has a history of violence.

Liam had his front teeth knocked out during a fight in a hotel disco in Munich, Germany in 2002. He was also banned from exclusive London hotspot The Groucho Club after spraying football player Paul Gascoigne with a fire extinguisher while the athlete ate soup.

Apparently Liam is up to his old antics again, as he was seen antagonising a number of people at an NME Awards afterparty in London midweek.

When Liam attempted to harass Idris, the actor was having none of it.

“Liam was in full rock’n’roll swagger mode,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“He bowled up to the party after midnight and made his presence felt pretty quickly.

“He had a row with a Scottish actor called Martin Compston, mocking his accent.

“Then he had a few words with Idris, poking fun at his bobble hat among other things. Idris looked like he was going to flatten him — they were on completely different wavelengths.”

Idris kept his aplomb as Liam reportedly continued spewing insults.

It seems that after a while, acclaimed thespian Idris simply didn’t believe that getting into a brawl with the rocker was worth his time.

“They were toe-to-toe at one point. Neither of them backed down,” the insider recalled.

“Idris was in a good mood, so left it, which was probably for the best. Liam left soon after.”
