Originally a three piece collective, Fourth and Folsom recruited a bass player and drummer to achieve the ideal sound for their upcoming album. They are now five-piece west coast indie band who would feature in your ‘Spotify Related Artists’ if you were listening to the likes of Fleet Foxes or Alt-J.

Described on their twitter as a "‪Group of human beings from London who occasionally play songs". The exciting and upcoming group have just recorded their new single ‘Golden Dunes’ (with and additional B-Side track ‘Iowa’) at Metropolis Studios in London. Using the same sound engineer as the late Amy Winehouse and The Who, Fourth and Folsom look to be set to reach those heights with their harmonic melodies and captivating sound.

It’s easy see that they are rooted in current culture as their website mimics their Tumblr feed (It is actually really funny) and this connection to their audience is the formula to making music that people want to hear. Just to remind those not acquainted to the way A$AP Rocky became popular was by his PR team pushing him our over Tumblr (as well as other things).

The constant vocal harmonies are so sweet and mellifluous it almost seems that their voices are less of an addition and more of an intricate instrument to the song. The ambience created by their music surrounds the listener and forces you to be relaxed, regardless of what’s going on around you.

After headlining the iconic Camden Barfly and 93 Ft.East, Fourth and Folsom are looking to have a great year with their Americana music and psychedelic feel. They have dedicated time off to this new single ‘Golden Dunes’ is a reflection of how hard they will work to perfect their signature sound.

The new single promises infectious guitar riffs, punctual and crisp drums laced with a careless summer feel, ‘Iowa’ carries more of a the vocal washes we have heard in their previous release ‘I Won’t Fall’ with an updated sound that has been refined and somehow improved.

The band are focusing writing their debut album, so are not touring at the moment. However check out their incredible website www.fourthandfolsom.com and get ready for their single ‘Golden Dunes’ on the 30th March 2015.
