Foo Fighters to play gigs in fans' garages next month

Foo Fighters have announced that they will play gigs in eight fans' garages next month.

The rockers announced the news on their website and said they will play the small shows between New York and Seattle.

Fans can enter a competition online to try and win the chance to experience an intimate gig with the band.

The group will complete the mini tour in April, just before they embark on their larger summer jaunt and release their new LP Wasting Light.

The band recently revealed that they are to screen their film documentary Foo Fighters: Back and Forth across 80 cinemas in the US.

That will be followed by a broadcast of songs from their new album performed live.
