Fergie was upset not to be able to perform with childhood hero Debbie Harry.

In June the singer and her Black Eyed Peas bandmates were preparing to take to the stage in Central Park for a concert to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation.

However, the performance was called off due to a severe lightning storm.

The Concert 4 NYC was also scheduled to include a number of guest performers. The singer has revealed her frustration at not being able to sing with some of the incredible artists that were lined up.

“It was really disappointing for me,” the star told WWD. “I was going to get to perform with Debbie Harry and Taylor Swift [and] Carole King! So it was a dream that didn’t get to happen.”

The concert was rescheduled for last Friday. Unfortunately the guest stars weren’t able to commit to the new date.

“We weren’t able to get the guests that we had last time,” Fergie sighed. “It was really hard because all of those were dream performances for me, collaborations. Especially me as a woman. I was going to sing Natural Woman with Carole King! Rehearsals were great. It was magical.”

The concert is thought to have raised more than $4 million for the Robin Hood Foundation. The charity funds and supports poverty-fighting organisations in New York City.
