Returning for its third year, Here to be Heard is on the hunt for the next big band and DJ. This time, however, the competition is judged by a band and DJ who has been there and done that. Kicking off the band search is none other than Mercury-nominated, Everything Everything.
Created to give acts additional exposure to be recognised, Here to be Heard has upped the ante this year with the victor of the band competition winning the money-can’t-buy opportunity to play live in front of thousands of music fans and revellers at this year’s Reading Festival.
Everything Everything, the Manchester-based band, will not only be judging the band competition but will also mentor the five finalists. The mentorship experience will ensure the finalists enter the final stage of the competition with the best chance of winning but will also be an opportunity for them to glean as much advice from a band that has made it in today’s competitive music industry.
With two highly-acclaimed albums under their belt and a third on its way, the band’s evolving and dynamic musical style makes them best placed to judge and mentor this year’s Here to be Heard band pillar competition.
