Every year, millions of us settle down to watch the conveyor belt of cheesy pop that is Eurovision.

This year’s event takes place in Sweden.

Whoever wins, it’s sure to bring up a few surprises, not least from the group of eccentric acts that will have you open-mouthed!

There are some things you can always guarantee will happen at Eurovision. Bad jokes from the commentators, rumblings over neighbouring countries giving each other maximum points no matter how bad their entry is and the odd act messing up their performance are staples of the event, but don’t be surprised if there’s something a little different.

To help make watching Eurovision, which can drag on a bit (especially with the famously complicated voting process), a little more exciting. With it, you can tick off whether Bonnie Tyler goes on to win, if Graham Norton fails to emulate Terry Wogan’s legendary commentary or if something completely out of the ordinary happens, like a UK win!

Like it or not, Eurovision is an institution beloved by millions across the continent. It’s made careers, increased awareness of different musical styles from each country and shown musicians what not to do when trying to make a hit.
