Dionne Warwick will celebrate an illustrious 50-year career when she opens this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival on Wednesday May 1st.
For what will be the legendary vocalist's only UK headline appearance of 2013, Warwick will perform an array of classic songs from her iconic back catalogue and joins an impressive list of high profile artists already confirmed for this year's festival including Van Morrison, Madeleine Peyroux, Gregory Porter, Georgie Fame and Laura Mvula.
One of the most celebrated female vocalists of all time, Dionne Warwick can only be described as a legend in the world of popular music. Thanks to signature hits such as Walk On By, Do You Know the Way to San Jose? and I Say A Little Prayer, she has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has become a cornerstone of American pop music and culture.
Tickets for this exclusive concert will go on sale to Cheltenham Festivals members from Monday 11th March, ahead of public booking from Thursday 14th March.
