Cara Delevingne is reportedly holding “secret talks” about her singing career with Simon Cowell.

The 22-year-old British beauty put music on the back burner to pursue a career in modelling.

And while she’s continued to dabble in singing since her meteoric rise to fame, UK newspaper The Mirror now reports Simon is considering signing her to his SyCo Entertainment.

“Simon reckons Cara has the chance to be a huge star and make them both a lot of money,” a source told the outlet, adding that members of his team have met with Cara on “several occasions”.

"They have not offered her a record deal – but have been interested in talking to her. Currently, she wants to do it herself,” the insider said.

Another source at SyCo reportedly said the pair had “a couple of informal meetings” earlier this year.

Representatives for Simon and Cara declined to elaborate, however.

The report follows just weeks after Cara apparently surprised revellers at a dive bar in New York City during New York Fashion Week, according to UK newspaper The Sun.

Late last year it was reported the model had been in talks with top record companies about releasing her debut album.

"Cara loves singing. When she was younger she would sit at home and mess about but recently she has started to take it more seriously," a source told British newspaper The Sunday People back in November. "She loves music, she loves festivals and she loves singing. Now, she wants to add it to her CV and actually get herself a pop career.”

Cara has meanwhile been focused on acting as well, landing roles in upcoming flicks The Face of an Angel and Pan.
