Renowned Producer, composter and performer David Foster will head up Universal Music's Verve Music Group.

Verve, one of the world's great adult music, pop and jazz labels, features a roster including Andrea Bocelli, Jamie Cullum and Diana Krall.

'We are committed to expanding our A&R investment in all areas of music on a global basis, and the adult music, pop and jazz genres are very important to me,' stated UMG Chairman Lucian Grainge. 'With David at the helm, we're now uniquely positioned for even more dramatic growth. He is one of music's most versatile and prolific hit makers, and one of the industry's most gifted developers of talent.'

During his career Foster has worked with Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, Seal, Gloria Estefan, *NSYNC, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, Cher, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, Barbra Streisand, Donna Summer, Kenny Rogers, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera.

Songs written by Foster include 'After The Love Has Gone' (Earth, Wind & Fire), 'Hard To Say I'm Sorry' (Chicago), 'One More Chance' (Madonna) and 'Tell Him' (Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion).
