Darren Criss isn't convinced splitting the Glee cast between New York and Ohio makes much sense.
The 26-year-old actor plays student Blaine Anderson on the hit American television musical.
Creator Ryan Murphy took a risk this season by splitting the cast between McKinley High in Ohio and a recent graduating class that has moved to New York City.
Darren admits he's not sure how Ryan and the show's producers justify the college crowd jetting cross-country for reunions.
They couldn't be making much money as students.
"Kids are in college now, and it has added a new dimension to the show, but I think everyone does miss having everybody together, which is why the New York kids magically show up in Lima, Ohio, all the time," he told MTV News.
"How do they fund that? I have no idea. They're college kids. They're always back.'
Darren guessed writers are just taking a bit of creative liberty with the storyline. He has a few ideas about how the frequent travels could be justified.
'Presumably there's some hidden, underground something or another that just straight shoots to Lima, Ohio, It's not very close,' Darren mused. 'Look at a map. Those are very far away. That's a long drive, not to mention an expensive plane ride."
The issue doesn't seem to be a bother to network executives at Fox. Glee was renewed last month for two additional seasons.
