Darlene Love suffers heart attack

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Darlene Love thought she just had a little indigestion last weekend before she did a performance in Asbury Park, NJ but, when it developed into severed pain the next day, she went to the hospital.

It was there that she learned that she was not having a stomach problem but, instead, a heart attack.

Many don't realize that heart attacks can present in ways other than chest pressure, especially in women. Luckily, Love took action early enough and is now on her way to recovery.

Darlene spent two days in the hospital before being released on Wednesday. She said "We caught it before it got bad and I went in and had the procedure done. I’m home and doing fine. They told me I'd be fine in a couple of days. I can go back to my regular routine."

Love celebrated her 71st birthday on Thursday.
