Damon Albarn Sydney show postponed by gunman

Damon Albarn had to postpone his appearance at the Sydney Opera House after gunmen took a number of patrons hostage at the cities Lindt Cafe.

Along with the hostage crisis, the Opera House was evacuated after a suspicious package was discovered. Although the venue later said the reports were false, they have decided to halt all performances for the time being to relieve the transportation networks in the city.

Contingent on the hostage situation, Albarn has been rescheduled to play two shows on Tuesday night at 7:00 and 9:30. From his Facebook page:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, tonight’s Sydney Opera House performance has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Tuesday 16th Dec at 7:00pm. The original start time of 8:00pm for the Tuesday 16 Dec 2014 performance has been rescheduled to 9:30pm, to accommodate the additional performance.
