Courtney Love is “a huge fan” of One Direction.
The Hole singer is known for her rock tunes and was married to late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
Now it seems the 50-year-old’s music tastes are changing slightly, as she loves the sound of the British pop group, made up of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson.
At a Saturday Night Live after party at the weekend she headed right over to the boys, even taking to Twitter to post a picture of herself with 22-year-old Louis, adding “good times with some great guys” as the caption.
“Louis enjoyed chatting to Courtney as he’s into all kinds of music and loves that she’s rock royalty,” an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
“Harry also chatted to her for a while. It was funny, as Courtney was clearly a huge fan and dead set on staying until she got selfies with the band.”
The boys are keeping busy, and yesterday they headed to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they put on Christmas jumpers to blast out festive hit Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Harry, 20, proudly sat in the front, beating a drum and wearing a red jumper with a Christmas tree motif. The band and Jimmy then took it in turns to sing verses from the popular tune, all joining in for the chorus.
One Direction hit the road with their Where We Are Tour this year, which saw them travel all over the globe. They now have a short period of time off to enjoy Christmas with their families before beginning their next set of shows in February.
