The run up to Christmas would not be the same without a glass of mulled wine and a few laps of the Somerset House ice rink during the Club Night skating sessions.

With DJs from all ends of the spectrum ready to welcome you its a pleasurable experience. Any music lover would find a night to suit their particular rhythmic passion.

Music-News.com went down to check out the joyous festivities on Saturday night and cut the ice with a selection of pirouette backflip lunge combinations... well maybe not, but circling the ice at my unsteady snails pace was extremely enjoyable all the same.

We were gently stewarded along to the beats of early 80s classics 'Maniac' by Flashdance and Rush Hour by Jane Wiedlin but you may prefer the sounds of Toddla T, Lovebox Winter Party or Ministry Of Sound.

In one hour slots with a fifteen minute change over, its a relaxed affair, and even when sold out, there's ample room to freestyle at your own pace on a pristine ice rink that can't be blamed for any falls.

The full line-up is listed below but be sure to book soon as its proving to be another popular Christmas pastime.

I'd recommend the full immersion experience with a glass of festive mulled wine to defrost after before heading out to see the lights.

Christmas would not be the same without it!
