Chrissy Teigen thinks it’s “exciting” to “make up for lost time” with husband John Legend.

The model and legendary singer married in Como, Italy, in September of last year, celebrating their one year anniversary earlier this week. While the couple spends time apart due to their careers, the distance doesn’t appear to have put a strain on their relationship.

“I'm sure there's a lot of people out there that wake up to the same person every single day and that's beautiful to them," Chrissy told People magazine. "For us, it's exciting to have time away and then be together and make up for that lost time.”

The couple commemorated their milestone with a trip to Italy and France, including a stop at a strip club in Paris.

"I probably liked it more than him," the 28-year-old model said of the unconventional part of their vacation.

John took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the one-year mark. The 35-year-old singer posted a photo of himself sitting down with the Sports Illustrated star putting her arms around him.

“It's our anniversary :) @chrissyteigen (sic)," he wrote.

While John has been busy promoting his music, Chrissy has been judging TV show Snack-Off and modelling. She was recently shot for the British edition of Esquire, dressed in a red bikini top.

But despite the revealing attire she wears for work, Chrissy has a shy side.

"I don't care if I wear swimsuits for a living. If the lights are on in the house, I am still covering my little tush. My good friends call me Terry Terrycloth because I'm always in a towel. I'm a little modest,” she told People magazine.
