Chris Brown will appear in court again in April to defend himself against allegations that he lied about the amount of community service he completed.

The R&B singer visited court Wednesday with Rihanna close at his side following prosecutors’ accusations that he submitted fraudulent documents supporting his community service hours.

According to X17 Online, Chris has been ordered to meet with his probation officer within 48 hours. The judge needs more time to review evidence on the matter and has set a follow-up hearing for April 5.

The R&B singer is currently under a five-year probation for his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

It appeared that the couple are going strong once again, as Rihanna sat right behind Chris in court. She also spent the night at his house before the hearing took place and cuddled a “dejected” looking Chris as he left the courthouse.

As part of his sentence, Chris was required to complete 180 days of community service.

Although the star received confirmation from police officials that he finished 220 service days, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office filed papers claiming that these supporting documents are fraudulent.

The Los Angeles District Attorney alleges that Chris in fact did not fulfill all of his commitments. They claim that the star was even on a private jet to Mexico during one of the days he says he was contributing to the community and was performing concerts internationally during some of the other documented service dates and times.

The DA said there was no “credible, competent or verifiable evidence” that his service was accomplished.

Chris’ lawyer Mark Geragos accused prosecutors this week of “making libelous statements” against his client.

The star faces possible jail time should he be deemed in violation of probation. Chris could also re-do the community service he has already served.
