Carrie Underwood has given birth to her first child.

The musician and her husband Mike Fisher announced they were expecting a baby in September last year.

Now she's taken to Twitter to announce their little one is here.

"Tiny hands and tiny feet...God has blessed us with an amazing gift! Isaiah Michael Fisher - born February 27. (sic)" she posted.

The 31-year-old star attached a touching picture of their son, showing a close up of his chin and tiny hand. Her husband promptly retweeted the message.

Carrie and Mike met in 2008 and they were engaged by the following year. The pair married in July 2010 in Greensboro, Georgia.

The singer has had a smooth pregnancy and previously opened up about how well things had been going.

"I feel really good," she said during an interview on CMT Hot 20 Countdown. "I think I've been really lucky in my symptoms thus far."

And the little boy is lucky to have a name ready and picked out for him. Early last month Carrie was quizzed on what she would call her baby, but nothing was set in stone.

“We don’t have a baby name. We need to lock that down here pretty soon,” Carrie told People magazine.

It's the first baby for both Mike and Carrie.
