Cara Delevingne has reportedly been left heartbroken by St. Vincent.

The British model sparked rumours she was in a relationship with singer St. Vincent, real name Anne Clark, earlier this year after the pair were spotted out and about in New York.

In March they were apparently seen slow dancing while partying during Queen of the Night at the Diamond Horseshoe, a club night hosted at the Paramount Hotel in the Big Apple. However it seems things have now ended.

“You can tell she’s been upset and distracted this week," a friend of Cara's told British newspaper The Sun. “It might have been early days but she was head over heels in love with this girl. They had a real connection.

“But Vincent thought she was always coming second to Cara’s career and wanted more. Cara was shocked though, it’s left her heartbroken.”

The 22-year-old has been throwing herself into work on the set of her new film Suicide Squad. The movie boasts an A-list cast, including Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Jared Leto, among others.

However Cara dropped her cool facade on social media, uploading a series of telling snaps on Instagram.

One photo shows an illustration of someone holding a broken heart with "It's hurting again" written on the picture.

Another is of a caption which reads "I've learned more from pain than I could've ever from pleasure."

A final sad message states "One day your heart will take you to your lover. One day your soul will carry you to the Beloved. Don't get lost in your pain – Know that one day your pain will become your cure."

So far St. Vincent hasn't uploaded anything to her online accounts.
