Nick Cannon has advised gossipers to “choke themselves”.
The 34-year-old America’s Got Talent host announced in August he and Mariah Carey are separating following six years of marriage.
Speculation is rife there has been trouble between them over the Christmas holidays, but Nick claims he is on great terms with the 44-year-old pop star.
“I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey We are forever a family rooted in love,” he noted on Twitter Monday about the mother of his two children, three-year-old fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan.
“I am always an open book but Personal matters are just that ‘Personal.’ So please respect my family and respect the process.
“In other words, all you vultures and bottom feeders searching for a story can go #ChokeYourself #Ncredible”
It was recently reported Mariah decided to disinvite Nick from family Christmas celebrations.
But it’s also claimed the pair have already worked out how to share the same space on special occasions.
"Mariah had a heartfelt conversation with Nick last week and they decided that they needed to put their feelings aside for the twins. Things between them got so toxic after Mariah accused Nick of dating other women too quickly, but now she's realised they both need to move on for the sake of their kids," a source told British magazine Closer. "They decided Thanksgiving was just the start and they want to spend Christmas and other holidays together, as well as birthdays, to ensure the kids aren't affected by their split."
