Nick Cannon doesn’t think he was the “mother f’er” that Mariah Carey sang about during a concert in Tokyo last year.

The actor and television presenter was married to the We Belong Together singer for six years before they separated last year. In October, Mariah was performing the Billie Holiday classic Don’t Explain when she added to the lyric “I know you cheat” the term “mother f’er”. And during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, Nick was asked if his estranged wife was referring to him.

“But weren't [those] the lyrics already?" the 34-year-old asked host Andy Cohen. "She just added the 'mother f'er' to it. Was I the mother f'er? I have…no...I don't believe that was about me."

The father-of-two was taking part in a game of “Plead the Fifth”. As well as denying that he cheated on the mother of his children, Nick also got the chance to take a swipe at Mariah’s critically panned film, Glitter. However the star didn’t rise to the bait.

“Awesome movie! Honest opinion, great movie, even better soundtrack," he said. "We have watched that movie together...I loved it so much before I got married, and she actually doesn't like it...but I actually really love it."

Mariah wasn’t the only famous female that Nick discussed during his appearance on the show. He also took the opportunity to talk about Amber Rose, who he manages.

“[It's] that she is one of those people that's just, uh, probably out to just sell herself for the fame,” he said when asked about the biggest conception about the 31-year-old. “Really, she's a very intelligent lady that actually has an incredible story that the world will get the opportunity to hear very soon."
