A new limited edition photographic book by internationally renowned rock photographer Nick Elliott, and featuring images from the last ten years of the Cambridge Folk Festival, has just been launched.

TEN – A Decade In Images is a collection of the very best photographs Nick has captured over the years at the festival, one of the longest running and most famous folk festivals in the world, with many images never seen before.

Published by Rufus Stone Limited Editions, this official book is beautifully produced, casebound, and available in two stunning versions. A standard 80 page edition, entitled A Decade In Images, has a choice of two covers (Joan Baez or Robert Plant) and is available in a run of just 1,000 copies. TEN is an extended 144 page version, featuring additional photography, signed by Nick and complete with custom-built flight case, with just 200 copies available worldwide.

Creator of the images, Nick Elliott, commented: “Predominantly I am known for being a ‘rock’ photographer so producing a book of ‘folk’ and ‘blues’ artists could be considered to be a bit of a departure for me. But having worked the Cambridge Folk Festival for over ten years, I count some of the images I have taken there to be amongst my best work and wanted to celebrate that fact with this book.”

The Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival is renowned for its eclectic mix of music and a wide definition of what might be considered folk. The best traditional folk artists from the UK and Ireland rub shoulders with more contemporary acts, the finest American country, blues and roots artists, acclaimed singer songwriters and even the odd pop star.

Neil Jones, Marketing Manager at Cambridge City Council who organise the festival said: “This book will take you as close as you can to the action, across an entire decade, celebrating some of the most-loved musicians from around the globe.”

Featured within the pages of the book is a unique selcetion of high profile artists including Joan Baez, Robert Plant, Fairport Convention, Steve Earle, Seasick Steve, Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon, Levellers, Nanci Griffith, Eddi Reader, Cerys Matthews, Imelda May, Julian Cope and Billy Bragg amongst others.

Rufus Stones Limited Editions’ owner, Mark Smith, concluded: “The quality and brilliance of the images captured and created by Nick are a true celebration of the festival's success. This luxury book will be a ‘must have’ collection for any fan of the event or true collector of rock photography artistry.”

The standard edition costs just £40 (plus delivery) and the extended HARDKASE edition £175 (plus delivery). With a release date of July, you can secure your copy now here.
