It was Buddy Guy's night on Thursday at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, TN.

He took home five trophies for Album of the Year and Contemporary Blues Album (both for Living Proof), Song of the Year (for the song Living Proof), Contemporary Blues Male Artist and the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year.

All around, it was also a night for veteran artists as they scored in 20 out of the 26 categories presented. Among the double winners were the late-Solomon Burke, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith and Charlie Musselwhite while single awards went to the likes of Luther Allison, Irma Thomas, Pinetop Perkins, the Nighthawks, John Hammond and Dr. John.
